[ad_1]

Are you a writer learning HTML, or simple web design systems? Are you interested in Japanese culture, anime, gadgets, or… fishing?

Then we may have work for you!

Job description:

We are currently looking for one or more people capable of using Google Translate or DeepL to localize blogs written by ZenMarket for an English audience, and format accordingly in HTML.

The main theme will obviously be Japan and its culture, but also about how ZenMarket can connect all its products and shops to users around the world.

We aim to produce content that will be aimed at all people who have an interest in Japan and its products in any way that is useful to readers interested in niche topics related to Japanese products.

Note that for this role, we are not looking to write articles from scratch, but rather translate existing articles written for other versions of ZenMarket, that are also relevant for an English-speaking audience, such as tutorial articles or store introductions to help people discover Japanese culture through its products.

Ideally, we would like native English speakers who are interested in Japanese culture, and already have some experience in using HTML for formatting blog articles.

Our favorite themes and topics include:

  • Collectibles (trading cards game, Beyblade, etc.)
  • Video games (retro and/or modern)
  • Pop culture (manga, series, anime, movies, etc.)
  • Fashion (Kimono, yukata, Uniqlo, etc.)
  • Cosplay related
  • Food and sweets
  • Watches (Casio, G-shock, Seiko, etc.)
  • Consumer goods (high-tech products, cameras, kitchen appliances, etc.)
  • Sports and martial arts
  • Cosmetics and make-up (SKII, Shiseido, etc.)
  • Music, fishing gear, gadgets, and so on!

We would like to find authors and editors who we can work with on a medium-long term and who could write several paid articles for us.

Here is our site for more information:

ZenMarket website

Our system

Step 1: We order the translation of specific, already existing articles from other language versions of the ZenMarket website – you do not need to be bilingual to do this! Simply copy the text into a translation tool such as DeepL or Google Translate, then polish it up to match the tone of other English articles. These articles cover many of the topics mentioned above.

We will then provide you with a general style guideline and code snippet templates for inserting videos, indexes, internal links, buttons, Headings, footers, and more, to insert into your translated blog. We will also request specific links to be inserted into each blog to either replace the equivalent one of another language, or to provide an additional internal link that is missing from the original blog article.

Note: Most articles will be supplied already formatted in HTML – these are translation only articles.

Some articles will not require any translation, but will need to be formatted in HTML and have images, code snippets, etc. included. These are formatting only articles.

Step 2: Once the first draft of your formatted article is complete, you submit it to us and we will discuss any changes or improvements to be made. You will be in contact with a professional editor who will guide and advise you during revision sessions.

Step 3: Once the final version of the text has been submitted and validated, we will decide whether or not the content would be published on our blog and in particular shared on our social media accounts across multiple language versions. You will receive your payment as soon as the text has been validated and approved. If your first feedback turns out to be positive, we will most likely come back to you with other orders for more work!
