What is Sweetest Day?
Sweetest Day is a hallmark holiday (that is, a holiday made up by a corporation) created and promoted by American candy & sweets companies in order to sell more… well, sweets and candy. Unlike Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, it did not seem to take off to the same extent, but is still observed in some regions of North America.
Sweetest Day encourages people to ‘be sweet’ to each other, and give sweets and candy to others as gifts to others. It is a holiday of kindness, which is something we can get behind.
In 2022, Sweetest Day will be observed on October 15th.
This giveaway will end at 11:59PM (JST) on October 15th. Winners will be randomly drawn and announced on Monday, October 17th.
