Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – A Legendary Revival Of Suikoden’s Magic

Rabbit & Bear Studios is at it again!

Yoshitaka Murayama’s team, Rabbit & Bear Studios is about to add yet another game to the Suikoden game series. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is under development by Rabbit & Bear Studios and will be published by 505 Games, a well-known video game publisher.

The game is announced to be published for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Microsoft Windows, with a promise of an epic adventure.

A Bit of Suikoden History

Created by Yoshitaka Murayama and released by Konami, Suikoden is a series of JRPGs loosely based on the Chinese novel Water Margin. The first ever Suikoden game was released back in 1995 on the Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn, and Windows the game quickly became the favorite of many. 

 

The story of the Suikoden games took place within the same world with events of different games overlapping and continuing. What made the series stand out from the rest were:

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes also has a prequel titled Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising which explores the world and stories prior to the events of Hundred Heroes and what led up to them. It features characters from Hundred Heroes as well as a new cast.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer RPG that was developed by NatsumeAtari and published by 505 Games.

Konami to Release HD Remaster of the Suikoden Series

Acquiring the Suikoden series is a bit complicated as none of the games are available on digital platforms as of right now and acquiring both a physical copy and console to run it on would be far too great a hassle for most people. But Konami is said to be releasing a bundled HD remaster of both Suikoden 1 & 2 sometime in the near future.
